Lesson Five - Beginning

First, learn this movement as shown in the video. Then do the movement three times on the right followed by three times on the left and repeat it to all four corners of the compass by ending with a whole body embrace as shown in the video moving to the left each time -- North, West, South, East, and back to North.

Sparrow Basic Beginning Movement

Make sure to breath deeply into the lower abdomen. Inhale into the palms (if you place your thumbs on your belly button -- your palms fall into the perfect center of the body) and exhale from the bottom of the lungs first. That allows the lungs to completely clear. This fills the body with tranquility and serenity. Practice this deep breath separately until you can do so in the form.

Second, practice the same circle of movements doing the opening and beginning three times (open to the left, the beginning and close, open to the right, the beginning and close, open to the left, the beginning) followed by the ward off on both the left and right followed by the rollback on both the left and right followed by the embrace and press on both the left and right.
